Julia Poirrier

Originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Julia has always had a love for travel and experiencing new places. She studied Hospitality & Tourism at the College of Charleston, and it was during her semester abroad in Australia that her passion for curating travel really took shape. She became the go-to planner for her group of friends, organizing trips to Thailand, New Zealand, and throughout Australia. That experience sparked not just a love for travel, but for building it: the logistics, the best experiences, the trips that feel both seamless and exciting.

After graduating, Julia moved to Washington D.C., where she spent five years in real estate development and earned her Master’s degree from Georgetown University. That background gave her a strong foundation in project management, attention to detail, and the art of thoughtfully executing complex experiences. All skills that translate directly into travel planning. She spent two years in New York City before deciding to join MavenLuxe and pursue her true passion full-time.

Some of Julia’s most meaningful travels have been in Africa. A family trip to Rwanda and Tanzania for gorilla trekking and seeing the Great Migration remains her most defining travel experience. Being able to spend time with a nomadic tribe, learning how they harvest honey and sharing that quiet exchange, is exactly the kind of moment she works to create for her clients. She focuses on designing personalized, seamless journeys that go well beyond booking a hotel. Her goal is to source unique properties, coordinate special experiences, and ensure every detail is thoughtfully handled from start to finish.
